About the Position

Assignment Period: Feb 9, 2026 - Feb 9, 2027

We are currently seeking a construction manager for our client in Stockholm.

Purpose of the Role:

The construction manager / sub-project manager is responsible for leading and coordinating construction-related parts of the project to ensure that the work is carried out according to set goals regarding time, cost, quality, work environment, and environment. The role acts as the link between Project Manager, contractors, consultants, and clients.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure/develop technical specifications and tender documents and be responsible for evaluation and procurement in consultation with Project Manager/Project Owner and Procurement.
• Lead and follow up construction contracts within the assigned sub-area.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage the construction process from start to completion.
• Ensure that the work is carried out according to contracts, documents, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in the design and review of construction documents.

Time, Cost, and Quality:

• Participate in developing and following up schedules for construction work.
• Follow up costs, forecasts, and changes/additional work (ÄTA).
• Ensure quality through self-checks, inspections, and follow-ups.
• Manage deviations and propose corrective actions.

Coordination and Communication:

• Coordinate contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in and lead construction meetings, coordination meetings, and site meetings.
• Ensure effective information dissemination and documentation.
• Act as the client's representative on the construction site.

Work Environment, Environment, and Safety:

• Follow up that work environment and safety requirements are met (BAS-P/BAS-U if necessary).
• Ensure that environmental requirements, sustainability goals, and legislation are met.
• Manage risk analyses and work environment plans.

Handing Over and Completion:

• Participate in final inspections and warranty inspections.
• Ensure that as-built documents and operation and maintenance documentation are delivered.
• Support the handover to management or operations.

Responsibilities and Authority:

• Responsible for the implementation of the assigned construction sub-project.
• Authority to make decisions within given frameworks for time, cost, and quality.
• Responsible for monitoring the performance of contractors.
• Reporting to the project manager or main project manager.

Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Education: Civil engineer, engineering degree, construction engineer, or equivalent. Alternatively, vocational education with relevant experience.
• Experience: Several years of experience in construction management or project management within construction/infrastructure.
• Good knowledge of contract forms (AB, ABT) and AMA.
• Good knowledge of the construction process, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
• Good knowledge of PBL, BBR, AML.
• Good computer skills e.g. MS Project, Excel, Bluebeam, SharePoint.
• Driver's license B (work both on construction sites and in the office within greater Stockholm).
• Swedish both spoken and written.
• English both spoken and written.
